Central Connecticut Baseball Umpires Association

 CCBUA is the Central Connecticut Baseball Umpire Association chapter sanctioned by the CIAC. CCBUA umpires officiate NVL high school varsity and sub-varsity games as well as Men’s Leagues, American Legion, Junior/Senior Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Pee Wee Reese, AAU as well as other various tournaments held locally. We welcome men and women 18 years of age and older interested in umpiring to contact us so we can help you attain Connecticut state certification.  

  2026 Meeting Dates

Sunday, March 2nd, 2026, 10:00 AM Holy Cross High School - First meeting of the 2026 season, rule books will be distributed.  Test will be taken on line via Dragonfly.  Directions to access the test will be discussed at the meeting. The nominating committee will present the slate of officers for 2026-2028, including the "C" member of the executive board.  Voting for the Ed Mariano Sportsmanship Award will also take place.  

Sunday, March 8th, 2026 - 10:00 - 11:00  AM Holy Cross High School - In house training session

Sunday, March 22nd, 2026, 10:00 AM, Holy Cross High School

Interpretation Meeting Attendance Mandatory. If you are not able to attend this meeting, you must attend another board's meeting, and acquire verification from that board's secretary. (officials from other boards welcome)

Tuesday, March 31st, 2026, Verdi Restaurant, Waterbury, 6:00 PM-7:00 PM regularly scheduled meeting, 7PM banquet( $20 dollar banquet fee)

Thursday,  April 2nd, 2026, 6:00-7:00 p.m. Holy Cross High School. In house training.

Sunday, May 17th, 2026, 10:00 A.M. American Italian Civic Club,        ( 476 Boyden Street, Waterbury )  

Summer rules/three man system for CIAC Tournament. Collection of dues for the 2027 season will begin. $150 per member. Checks written to CCBUA. No Venmo
